This series of drawings is composed of robotically drawn circles that respond to my listening to a selection of political speeches.
Each speech is matched by a neurographic rendering based on my brain wave response while listening to it. Every effort is used to avoid my conscious evaluation, hence the drawings are primarily tapping into the emotive aspects and intonation of the oration, rather than the narrative content itself. The colors used are drawn from a synesthetic correspondence that Lutyens has been working on restoring in his mind through a repeated effort to find an unconscious emotional equivalence between speech, words and color.
